The Electro-Voice EVID C8.2HC is an 8" coaxial installation speaker designed for placement in rooms with high ceilings and a high level of reverberance. Through the implementation of the company's proprietary waveguide technology, the speaker's 75° coverage pattern fills the same area installed in a 21' ceiling as a typical flushmount speaker housed in an 8' ceiling, with an optimal level of music fidelity and speech intelligibility.
The EVID C8.2HC is equipped with a line-matching transformer for 70V/100V operation, and a transformer tap selector switch that includes 8 Ohm bypass operation, conveniently located on the front of the speaker. The enclosure is both ported and tuned, optimizing bass response, and the unit is supplied with a well-designed 3-point mounting system for simplified installation.
